About the Artform
A mandala is a complex abstract design that is usually circular. In fact, ""mandala"" is a Sanskrit word that means ""circle"". Mandalas generally have one identifiable center point, from which emanates an array of symbols, shapes, and forms. It's all about finding peace in the symmetry of the design and the universe.
About the Session
In this session, you will learn about the age-old art form in a much more familiar way, starting with an introduction to constructing mandala grids and making basic mandala designs, Grid construction, Pattern drawing, Detail mandala drawing, and quotes on A5 paper. All of the mentioned will be taught in a way to provide you with a complete hands-on experience of the art form by the end of the workshop.
This is a 'beginner-friendly' session. (Age: 12+).
