About the Artform
Mandalas are believed to represent different aspects of the universe and are used as instruments of meditation and symbols of prayer. Mandala, which in Sanskrit means “circle” or “discoid object,” is a geometric design that holds a great deal of symbolism in Hindu and Buddhist cultures.
About the Session
In this session, you will learn how to paint a seamless ombre using watercolours, aztec background using metallic paints and then fill it up with intermediate level mandala patterns. Mandalas and watercolours are the two artforms that can fuse together very easily and you will learn to create an artwork around the same concept. This is a 'beginner-friendly' session (Age: 10+).

About the Artist
Divdrisht Kaur Suri
@mandalas_by_divdrisht
Being a finance graduate from J.D. Birla Institute, Department of Management, she was set to pursue a master’s degree in finance from HEC, Paris, until the time she stumbled upon this beautiful artform called mandalas and zentangles. Since then, for her, there’s been no looking back and she has gotten herself completely submerged in it. All her work is delineated using pen, ink, and paper. They’re all hand-curated designs, in black and white, trying to capture the essence of in-line symmetry and asymmetric art-forms using extreme intricacy. She has conducted over 800 mandala workshops, nationally and globally, in 13 countries, over the past 5 years.
