About the Artform

In this session, you will learn about the beginnings of Madhubani paintings and Motif making, this uses two-dimensional imagery, and the colors used are derived from plants. Ochre and lampblack are also used for reddish-brown and black respectively.

This is a 'beginner-friendly session! (Age: 8+)

In this session, you will learn about making Madhubani Motif and Madhubani Peacock in Bharni style, right from the basics, the artist will introduce you to the art form step by step and you will have a great hands-on experience by the end of the session.

  • A5 paper
  • Black Pen 
  • Pencil
  • Eraser 
  • Scale
  • Basic colours (if available)

Hailing from Mithila, she is a Madhubani and Watercolor artist by passion. She has mastered the art form from her ancestors who have been practicing it for many generations. She is a graduate from NIFT New Delhi and is a Visual Merchandiser by profession.
