About the Artform

Madhubani Art is a style of Indian painting, practiced in the Mithila region of Bihar, India. This painting is done with a variety of tools, including fingers, twigs, brushes, nib-pens, and matchsticks using natural dyes and pigments. It is characterised by its eye-catching geometrical patterns.

About the Artist

Kavita Das

Hailing from Mithila, she is a Madhubani and Watercolor artist by passion. She has mastered the art form from her ancestors who have been practicing it for many generations. She is a graduate from NIFT New Delhi and is a Visual Merchandiser by profession.
