In this session, you will learn about Watercolour painting which dates back to ancient times and has been used by artists to render and capture everything from realistic and hyperrealistic landscapes, portraits, and botanicals to more semi-realistic, illustrative, and abstract pieces.
This is a 'beginner-friendly session! (Age: 12+)

About the Session

In this workshop, participants will learn how to create a gorgeous, colourful, and eye-catching painting of hollyhock flowers using the loose watercolour painting technique and also about Basics of watercolour painting, wet in wet technique, Water control, Framing and composition, Choosing the right colours and colour palettes
This is a 'beginner-friendly session! (Age: 12+)

Materials Required

  • Watercolour or mixed media paper (minimum 200 gsm)
  • Watercolour/gouache/poster paints
  • Round brush (1 thick, 1 thin)
  • Two jars of water
  • Paper napkins/rag

About the Artist

Mohona Bhadra

She is an artist and illustrator based out of Kolkata, India. She has been a full-time artist since 2018, and loves to work with a lot of different subjects and mediums, although botanical illustrations are her main focus. She started hosting live sessions and online workshops in May 2020, and has since hosted over 75 such sessions with attendees from all over India as well as from various parts of the world.
