About the Artform

The art of Mehendi/ henna has its presence for over 5000 years now. The paste leaves a temporary stain on the skin and Henna paste symbolizes good health and prosperity in all auspicious occasions including marriage, and in some cultures, the darker the henna stain, the deeper the love between two individuals. The most widely known use of henna for body art, temporary tattoos, beyond hair coloring, is the adornment of the bride in an Indian wedding.

About the Session

This session is focused on basics of henna and extremely beneficial for beginners. If you want to know about this mehendi art, this session would be of your interest. We will cover the tricks and techniques of the mehendi art, learn about different materials used, different types of designs like designer, traditional, contemporary, bridal etc. This is a 'beginner-friendly session! (Age: 12+)

  • A4 sheet/ Acrylic hands
  • Henna cone
  • Waste cloth
