About the Workshop

Macrame is an Art of tying cords into knots in a way that they form a useful or decorative piece. Revived few years back this is now a global trend. This workshop will teach how to make a boho macrame wall-hanging and introduce you to four kinds of knots and how they can be used in various ways to form numerous designs. We will be teaching you how to make a yarn from your old tee-shirt.

Materials Required

  • Treated wooden branch - approx 14” length
  • 32 m long single cotton cord Off-white color (4mm)

Other Materials:

  • Brush comb
  • Pair of scissors
  • Any yarn with at least 2-3 mm width (cotton cord/ jute yarn/ tee-shirt yarn) [If not opting for the kit]
  • Wooden dowel / Dried branch / 1/2” dia PVC pipe [If not opting for the kit]

After doing NIFT, she worked with corporates for 11 years while parallelly exploring motherhood. She finally came up with the idea of Ostringsattached, suggested by her better-half which is a brand that works with strings and cords, especially in the form of Macrame.
