About the Artform
Watercolor art dates from Stone Age cave painting when early Paleolithic man first painted pictures of animals and humans on their caves. Wet on wet technique is one of the most commonly used techniques in watercolor.

About the Session
In this session, you will learn the basic watercolor techniques and learn how to add foreground elements. You will also learn the watercolor gradient, monochrome and silhouette effect and create a beautiful landscape with watercolor.
It is a beginner friendly session. (Age 12+)

Materials Required

  • Indigo shade of watercolor
  • Masking tape 
  • Pencil
  • Eraser 
  • Cardboard to fix the paper 
  • 100% cotton paper (preferably 300GSM)

About the Artist

Kavita Das


Hailing from Mithila, she is a Madhubani and Watercolor artist by passion. She has mastered the art form from her ancestors who have been practicing it for many generations. She is a graduate from NIFT New Delhi and is a Visual Merchandiser by profession.
