Watercolor art dates from Stone Age cave painting when early Paleolithic man first painted pictures of animals and humans on their caves. Wet on wet technique is one of the most commonly used techniques in watercolor.
About the Session
In this session, you will learn the techniques to paint elements like sky, trees, create mist effect, monochromatic misty pines with watercolor. Learning to paint a watercolor landscape can definitely be daunting when an artist is just starting out with Watercolor medium, especially due to its fluidity and transparency!
It is a beginner friendly session. (Age 12+)
- Watercolor paper or sketchbook
- Watercolors (basic colors will do)
- Flat paint brush (optional)
- Paintbrush (8-10 point round tip)
- Rag or tissues
- Cup of water
- Pencil (HB-2B)
- Gum eraser
- Masking tape
- A piece of thick cardboard or something to tape your watercolor paper
