Kalamkari is a type of hand-painted or block-printed cotton textile produced in Isfahan, Iran, and in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

About the Session
In this session, you will learn how to sketch a floral Kalamakari motif and brief about Kalamkari history and techniques. Join this session and discover the styles and techniques defining this age old ancient art form!
This is a 'beginner-friendly' session (Age 12+).

Materials Required

  • Art Sheets [200gsm or above preferred]
  • Pencil, Eraser, Scale
  • Black gel pen/Waterproof fine liner
  • Acrylic/Poster color

About the Artist

Minal Sinha Srivastava


She is an art therapist, mentor and art entrepreneur with background in social services and education. . Having lived in over 7 countries, her artistic style today is an amalgamation of diverse cultures and involves using a lot of bright, bold colors to render happiness and positivity. She is the founder of her small venture 'Yellow Frames Art Studio' which is an online art group that conducts Art Workshops and Events for all art enthusiasts.
