Madhubani painting is one of the most famous art forms that originated in India. It is practiced in the Mithila region of Bihar. These paintings often have characteristics like complex geometrical patterns. They are also well known for representation of ritual content in special occasions like festivals and marriage.

About the Session
This session will cover the basic techniques required for making a Madhubani motif. This is a 'beginner-friendly' session (Age: 7+).

  • Eraser
  • Black pen (0.3mm)

About the Artist

Kavita Das


Hailing from Mithila, she is a Madhubani artist by passion. She has mastered the art form from her ancestors who have been practicing it for many generations. She is a graduate from NIFT New Delhi and is a Visual Merchandiser by profession.
