About the Workshop

One of the oldest Indian and still prevelant artforms, Warli has its origins in Maharashtra. The art uses geometric shapes like circles, triangles, and squares to create paintings that represent the life and beliefs of the Warli tribe. The art was used to decorate walls of the house during special occasions in the olden days.

An interior designer by profession and an artist by passion, Shriya Sinha has been studying, practicing and teaching Warli and Gond Art for 7 years now! Apart from having a keen interest in traditional arts, she is also inclined towards various crafts and extensively works with crepe paper and dreamcatchers.

  • Pencil, Eraser, Scale
  • Acrylic colors
  • A4 size Drawing sheet
  • Black gel Pen/ Black technical pen for outlining
  • Brush size 0 for detailing and 1 for coloring
  • Color Palette
  • Cloth/ Tissue for wiping the Brushes
  • Water.
