About the Workshop
Soap making is a procedure to make and produce soaps of different aromas and fragrances. This can be done using different base ingredients. Essentially, a soap is a cleansing and lubricating product, used in domestic and industrial settings. At the heart of soap making is a process called saponification. The name soap comes from 'sapo', the Latin word for soap. Saponification is a chemical process by which the fat reacts with lye to form soap.
In this workshop, you will learn to work with different soap bases and understand the science behind the process, customize your own organic soaps using the melt and pour method, be taught three kinds of soaps, namely, loofah, layered and embedded soaps, have made three different fragrant soaps with your own hands!
