About the Artform

Watercolor art dates from Stone Age cave painting when early Paleolithic man first painted pictures of animals and humans on their caves using charcoal, ochre, and other natural pigments. It was later popularized in Egyptian art after the discovery of papyrus (paper).

About the Session

In this session, the artist will teach you the age-old art form in a completely new and innovative way where you will be taught about it right from the basics, starting with introduction To watercolor paints, landscape painting, tips and tricks required to get those lights to give a dancing effect and learning about the unpredictability and control of watercolors. All of the mentioned will be taught in a way to provide you with a complete hands-on experience of the art form by the end of the workshop.
This is a 'beginner-friendly' session. (Age: 10+).

She is a versatile artist who likes to work with various mediums like oil, acrylic, watercolors and textile. She likes to paint realistic paintings in the form of beautiful inspiration from nature! She has taken part in many Art exhibitions like India Art Festival, Mumbai Art Fair, Dubai Art Festival, Radiant Arts and also has created collections, commissioned works and conducted workshops.

Materials Required

  • Watercolor paper 300gsm
  • Watercolor brushes ( preferably natural hair)
  • Watercolors
  • Masking tape
  • Board to stick the paper to
  • Two jars of clean water
  • Water spray bottle ( not mandatory)
  • A hairdryer if you wish to paint along
  • Tissues, rags
  • White gouache paint / white acrylic paint
