About the Artform
Madhubani form of art is one of the most famous painting styles that originated from India. It is widely practiced in the Mithila region of Bihar. Bharni, Tantrik, Godna, Khobar, and Kachini are popular types of painting. In the Kachini style, paintings are made using elaborate lines and intricate geometrical patterns. Some Madhubani artworks also represent gods, weddings, and other special occasions.
About the Session
In this session, you will learn about the traditional Madhubani peacock motif in Kachini style and fill the artwork with intricate patterns which is very unique to Madhubani.
This is a 'beginner-friendly' session. (Age: 10+).

A self-taught visual artist, Shreya currently resides in Germany. Her paintings are deeply influenced by various folk art styles that mostly depict Indian women, nature and mythology. She loves to incorporate contemporary elements to her paintings as they add value in enhancing her personal style.
