About the Workshop
This will be a beginner friendly kalamkari art workshop where you will learn to draw Kalamkari motifs, improvise on them, and paint along to create your very own masterpiece. The workshop includes Interaction and introduction of the art form to Improvisation and creation of the motif.
Kalamkari is a type of hand-painted or block-printed cotton textile produced in Isfahan, Iran, and in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Only natural dyes and a kalam are used in Kalamkari. The creation of this traditional Indian artform involves twenty-three steps.
