About the Workshop

The origin of Macramé is generally attributed to Arabic weavers of the 13th century. They used decorative knots to put together the loose ends of hand-woven textiles. However, decorative knot-tying can also be traced back to third-century China on ceremonial textiles as well as wall hangings. Macrame is the art of knotting yarns into beautiful pieces and textiles. While macrame is popular in the field of home decor, these days it has also found its place in lifestyle products and fashion.
