Holi is a festival of colors, and organic color making is an old artform which people have been using at their homes to make chemical free colours from temple flowers.

About the Session

In this session, you will be taken on a virtual tour of the centre, where persons with intellectual disabilities recycle flowers and create handcrafted eco-friendly Holi colours. You will see the step-by-step process of making these colours and also hear the stories of these persons with intellectual disabilities whose lives transformed after they became artisans!

Get a livelihood initiative for persons with intellectual disabilities, as they transform temple flowers into non-toxic Holi colours.

The handcrafted colors help 200 people with intellectual disability earn a regular income for 6 months. They are Eco-friendly , made from temple flowers that are recycled into safe, non-toxic and skin-friendly colors, suitable for children of all ages. This year they will be saving 10,000 kgs of used flowers from landfills, their packaging uses zero-plastic, their colors wash off easily and require 3 times less water than regular colors to clean up.
