About the Artform

The watercolor painting dates back to ancient times and has been used by artists to render and capture everything from realistic and hyperrealistic landscapes, portraits, and botanicals to more semi-realistic, illustrative, and abstract pieces.

About the Session

In this session, the artist will teach you the age-old art form in a completely new and innovative way where you will be taught about it right from the basics, starting with an introduction Basics of watercolor painting, Wet in dry and wet in wet techniques, Basics of color use and composition and Adding finishing touches and details to enhance a painting All of the mentioned will be taught in a way to provide you with a complete hands-on experience of the art form by the end of the workshop.
This is a 'beginner-friendly' session. (Age: 10+).

About the Artist

Mohona Bhadra

She is an artist and illustrator based out of Kolkata, India. She has been a full-time artist since 2018, and loves to work with a lot of different subjects and mediums, although botanical illustrations are her main focus. She started hosting live sessions and online workshops in May 2020, and has since hosted over 75 such sessions with attendees from all over India as well as from various parts of the world.

  • Watercolour/mixed media paper (minimum 200 gsm)
  • Watercolour/poster/gouache paints
  • Round brushes (1 large and 1 small)
  • Two jars of water
  • Paper napkins/rags
