About the Artform
Watercolor painting is a method of painting where the pigment is dissolved in water. These paintings are also known as Aquarelle paintings in French. Using watercolors, your range expands more than any other printing method. This type of painting is extremely old, dating perhaps to the cave paintings of paleolithic Europe, and has been used for manuscript illustration since at least Egyptian times but especially in the European Middle Ages.
About the Session
In this session, you will learn about the art form starting with an introduction to painting beautiful, delicate Watercolour feathers by using different tools to add texture, contrast, and details.
This is a 'beginner-friendly' session. (Age: 8+).
