About the Artform

A mandala is a complex abstract design that is usually circular in shape. The word 'mandala' translates to circle in the Sanskrit language. They contain different geometric motifs and shapes that are made with a lot of precision. These designs also hold a great deal of symbolism in Hindu and Buddhist cultures.

About the Session

In this session, you will learn about the modern art form in a much more familiar way, starting with an introduction mandala, types of the mandala, and intricate tricks of the artform. All of the mentioned will be taught in a way to provide you with a complete hands-on experience of the art form by the end of the workshop.
This is a 'beginner-friendly' session. (Age: 10+).

Karishma is an international artist who studied for 3 years at an Art University in Belgium. She completed her initial art education in Mumbai. Although she has an aptitude for the arts since her youth, she was not able to fully pursue it. The lockdown moticated her to re-enter the world of arts.
