About the Artform

Mandala art has been around for ages. Drawing mandalas helps one to meditate and improves one's ability to focus. It's also super therapeutic as it helps reduce stress and anxiety when being drawn. A meditative art form that can be turned into bookmarks, big mandala drawings, postcards, murals and so much more.

About the Session

In this session, you will learn about bookmarking using mini mandalas. You will learn to make one by dividing the paper into sections for each mandala and with basic guides, draw 3-4 mini mandalas to form the bookmark. This will cover Learning how to draw mini mandalas, Exploring different styles of making patterns, Adding shading and detailing to add intricacy, and Fixing mistakes.
This is a 'beginner-friendly' session. (Age: 10+).

  • 200 gsm or 300 gsm paper cut into 10 cm by 21 cm strips
  • Black pigment liners in sizes 0.8 and 0.3 or 0.4
  • Ruler
  • Pencil and Eraser
  • Compass
