About the Artform
Madhubani art is a style of Indian painting practiced in the Mithila region of the Indian subcontinent. This painting is done with various tools, including fingers, twigs, brushes & nib-pens.
About the Session
In this session, the artist will teach you the age-old art form in a completely new and innovative way where you will be taught about it right from the basics, starting with an introduction painting Madhubani motifs on fabric/canvas and small slings/purses. All of the mentioned will be taught in a way to provide you with a complete hands-on experience of the art form by the end of the workshop.
This is a 'beginner-friendly' session. (Age: 12+).

A self-taught Madhubani artist, Shamli Das has her own take on Madhubani, while maintaining the essence of the artform. The finesse, attention to detail and the happiness seen in her designs can mesmerize anyone. She frequently conducts Madhubani workshops for both adults and kids.
