About the Artform
Madhubani or Mithila painting is an Indian folk art characterized by its eye-catching geometric patterns. The painting depicts nature, animals, birds, and deities from ancient epics. The colors used are bright with beautiful patterns and designs. Bookmarks are fun little crafts because they were quick, and you could make them out of just about anything! Along with this, they add a personalized touch to your books and reading experience overall.
About the Session
In this session, you will learn about the art form starting with an introduction to Madhubani fish bookmark making and painting using bright colors and patterns. You will learn About Madhubani folk art, drawing overlapping fishes, and Sketching patterns inside the fishes.
This is a 'beginner-friendly' session. (Age: 8+).
