About the Artform

Realism is an art style that focuses on making pieces look as realistic and true-to-life as possible. While the subjects may sometimes appear somewhat stylized, realism seeks to present issues as they look in real life. In our beginner’s workshop, we shall mainly use Charcoal charred sticks of wood to produce a finished portrait as realistic as possible.

About the Session

In this session, you will learn about the modern art form in a much more familiar way, starting with an introduction on Conceptualizing different shading techniques, Understanding proportion and form, Improving charcoal shading and blending techniques, and Developing insights into drawing hyper-realistic portraits. All of the mentioned will be taught in a way to provide you with a complete hands-on experience of the art form by the end of the workshop.
This is a 'beginner-friendly' session. (Age: 10+).
