Weaving - an art form that traces its existence from the times of Rigveda. Weaving is often regarded as a mindful practice that lets you create a fabric with its warp and weft, the vertical and horizontal threads. If you would wish to experience a mindful practice and have some fun with colors, this craft of weaving workshop is a must for you

About the Session

In this session, you will learn about the modern art form in a much more familiar way, starting with an introduction basic of weaving with warp and weft. You can then create any tapestries, fabric, and wall arts from the craft. All of the mentioned will be taught in a way to provide you with a complete hands-on experience of the art form by the end of the workshop.
This is a 'beginner-friendly' session. (Age: 10+).

Kalakai is an art studio founded by Aayushi Shah and Shefali Ambe. As design graduates from NIFT, they studied Indian artforms, crafts and textiles in detail. They wanted to share this knowledge with other individuals and help them experience how mindful and therapeutic the process of creating something can be! Thus, Kalakai was born. At Kalakai, you will get an aesthetic crafting experience with the help of their consciously designed kits!
