About the Artform

Embroidery is like Therapy! once you start embroidering you can never stop. You will understand that embroidery is simple and meant for all of those art and craft lovers who cannot sketch yet have this craving to do something creative with their own hands.

About the Session

In this session, you will learn about the modern art form in a much more familiar way, starting with an introduction to How to attach the fabric to an embroidery frame/hoop, Understand the materials to be used for embroidery, How to embroider a butterfly using: backstitch, satin stitch, French Knots, Beads and Tricks to make you a better embroidery artist All of the mentioned will be taught in a way to provide you with a complete hands-on experience of the art form by the end of the workshop.
This is a 'beginner-friendly' session. (Age: 8+).

After a successful career of 25+ years in Fashion Designing and Product Development, she started Hazel Embroidery Designs in 2020. She learnt the craft from her mother and believes embroidery to be the perfect stress buster and source of art therapy. She loves creating her own designs and conducts video tutorials where she spreads her love for embroidery to other art enthusiasts. She also has a club where she organizes monthly Stitch Along events.

  • Fabric - cotton casement 1/2 meter color of your choice
  • Anchor Yarns two shades of any color you want to embroider the butterfly
  • Golden, Bronze, or silver embroidery yarn
  • Small round beads optional
  • 7 & 9 number needle
  • 7"" diameter wooden embroidery round frame/hoop 7. Scissors
  • Pilot Frixion Pen Heat Erasable or Pencil
