About the Artform

Boho style incorporates an eclectic mix of colors, patterns, and textures. It has a relaxed approach which focuses on geometry, lines and flat colours, bending traditional rules of painting. Mandala art is a therapeutic art form and has its origins rooted in sacred history. The word is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning circle and symbolizes the universe and our connection to it. They contain different geometric motifs and shapes. They are generally symmetrical to look at and are a form of self-expression.

About the Artist

She is a self-taught artist and calligrapher from Kolkata who loves to work with various mediums. However, her areas of expertise are mandalas and acrylic painting. Art gives her joy that very few other things can bring and her wish is to spread this happiness among people. She has 3 years of experience and has hosted several workshops and live sessions. She also makes customised artworks.

Materials Required

  • A5 sheet (>200 GSM)
  • Compass and Protractor
  • Pencil, Eraser, Ruler, Sharpener
  • Gouache paints
  • Paint Brushes
  • Painter's tape
  • 2 jars of water and rough cloth
  • Black pen/ Fineliners (Bleed-proof)
  • Instead of Gouache: Tempera Colours/ Poster Colours
  • Instead of Painter's Tape: Masking Tape/ Washi Tape
