About the Artform
Leaf carving is an artwork involving the delicate trimming of leaves to develop a picture or landscape. The process of carving is performed by artists using tools to carefully cut the surface without cutting or removing the veins.
About the Session
In this session, you will learn about the art form starting with an introduction to using fallen leaves in creative ways. You will be learning about the selection of fallen leaves and flowers, to ways of drying and pressing them while maintaining their color. Discussion and sharing of ideas on ways to use those leaves to make creative products.
This is a 'beginner-friendly' session. (Age: 8+).

Rasika is a fashion stylist by profession with a passion for art. She has always loved experimenting with mixed mediums to create art. In addition to this, embroidery has been her expertise since school times. She has recently started exploring by practising embroidery on different mediums. Her dream is to create a one-of-a-kind art and to empower like-minded people.
