About the Artform
Realistic art focuses on details and making the subject look as true to life as possible. Be it still life, wildlife, or portraits. Colored Pencils are an excellent medium for achieving this, as they can be layered and blended to create depth and also used to create the finest of details. The basic techniques of layering and understanding light and shadow can be applied to any subject and replicated.
