About the Artform
Pichwai is a traditional art form that dated back to the 17th century in Nathdwara, Rajasthan. They depict the moods and expressions of Lord Krishna. Mandala means center, circle, or disc. It is used as a meditative tool, for establishing sacred space, and for representing Gods and deities. Different cultures have different types of Mandalas.
About the Session
In this session, the artist will teach you the traditional art form in a completely new and innovative way where you will be taught about it right from the basics, starting with an introduction to making Pichwai lotus on a surface like a plate, tray, or anything that you wish to refurbish. . All of the mentioned will be taught in a way to provide you with a complete hands-on experience of the art form by the end of the workshop.
This is a 'beginner-friendly' session. (Age: 15+).
